By Private Car / Taxi
From Quito via Calacal铆 - La Independencia highway
- 1 Drive north from Quito taking the Calacal铆 - La Independencia highway toward the northwest.
- 2 At Km 79 (near San Miguel de los Bancos / Mindo junction), turn left at the marked Mindo entrance.
- 3 Follow the 6 km paved downhill road directly into Mindo town center.
- 4 Guayabo Hostal provides limited parking (max 2 vehicles). We recommend reserving a spot in advance.
By Interprovincial Bus
From La Ofelia Bus Terminal (Quito)
- 1 Go to La Ofelia Bus Terminal in northern Quito.
- 2 Take a direct bus operated by Flor del Valle / Cintra to Mindo (multiple daily departures).
- 3 The bus ride takes approximately 2 hours to the central bus stop in Mindo.
- 4 From the Mindo bus drop-off, you can easily walk or take a quick local truck taxi to Guayabo Hostal.
